For a graphic designer, a printer is a very important investment. Graphic designers often have special requirements for their printers, such as larger papers sizes. Graphic designers must also consider whether they want a laser jet or inkjet printer. Laser jets are faster but the colors are not always the best quality. inkjets have a better color quality, but if the ink gets wet, the colors will smudge. The HP LaserJet Pro 400 is a laser printer that is aimed at the graphic design world. It is a top of the line Laser printer, which is ideal for graphic designers. Being a laser printer, The HP LaserJet Pro 400 is fast, however there is a also a risk for lower quality colors. This printer however produces very vibrant and clear colors. The only downside to it is perhaps the size of it, which is a problem for all laser printers.

The Epson Artisan 1430, another inkjet printer, is a printer perfect for the graphic designer that works in a variety of media. This printer will accept almost any kind of paper, and also has a 13″ wide printer carriage, again meaning that it will accept a large variety of sizes, and should be fine for most projects. The Epson Artisan 1430 runs on 6 ink cartridges, and while it may not be as fast as other printers, it certainly makes up for it with quality.

Another printer in the Pixma series, this printer is much higher range than the iX6520. The Canon Pixma Pro-100 is a professional quality inkjet printer that is made for the designer. It runs on 8 ink cartridges, and supports a large variety of media. While this printer is relatively expensive, it is also built with quality in mind.

5. Dell 5130cdn

The Dell 5130cn is a workhorse. It is rather large, and is very expensive, however this will be an investment well made. Despite the cost, the printer may even save you money in the end because it is extremely efficient and has a very low cost-per-page. The colors produced by this printer are very vibrant and clear.

As you can see, there are a number of options for the graphic designer, from laser jet to inkjet, and prices of all kinds. However, no matter what your needs as a graphic designer, there will always be a printer on the market that will be perfect for you.
